3am the text came. " It's Baby time!" I had all my things ready, including my "throw on outfit" in case of a middle of the night text and I was out the door within 5 minutes of getting Allie's text.
So honored that this was my 3rd time capturing a Boss baby. This sweet friend lives a little over 2 hours away from me, which I normally don't travel quite that far for births, but I just adore Allie and her family and at this point, not being there to capture her birth just wouldn't even feel right.
This was Allie's 2nd home birth and it was her hardest labor but she truly did AMAZING. Josh was by her side thru it all, doing all the things your husband can do during such an intense time, and they truly could have brought their baby into this world with no one else by their side.
Worship music was playing softly in the background for hours, as Allie was breathing thru each painful contraction, longing to meet their sweet baby. They didn't find out the gender, which always makes things even more ecxciting, but both guessed boy when I asked them before baby arrived.
At 8:50am on a Monday morning, just after sunrise, like she prayed for, sweet baby BOY, Alden Edward arrived. 8lbs, 20". Born in the tub, Allie delivered her baby herself, pulling her sweet boy into her arms, with her midwife by her side, it was truly incredible! Within a couple hours mama was in her own cozy bed, and the big kids came to meet their new baby brother. What a gift.
Forever grateful to have witnessed and documented 3 miracles for this sweet family and cannot wait for them to see these photos and remember the beautiful miracle of the birth of baby Alden. Josh and Allie, THANK YOU!!!!
