*Trigger warning post: Infant loss*

It's hard to believe 2023 is coming to a close. I am ending this year with a very special family that is dear to my heart.

In September of 2022, my clients lost their baby girl, Daphne, at 40 weeks pregnant. I was supposed to photograph Daphne's newborn photos any day, and instead I was crying behind my computer screen reading about my client's unexpected loss. Life is so hard sometimes, and their world was flipped upside down. I truly cannot imagine such grief. I am so honored to sit with clients in the midst of their highs and lows. Just so grateful.

While they will forever navigate the loss of their sweet girl, they welcomed their rainbow baby, Joanna Lucille earlier this month. What joy this brought to my heart! We captured all the sweet moments of big brother and baby Jo, and included pics of Daphne in some photos also, as she will always be part of their family.

Thank you W family for welcoming me into your home weeks after your loss and again earlier this month to capture such intimate moments for your family. Thank you for sharing Daphne with me, and now sweet baby Joanna. I pray 2024 brings more love, joy and healing to your family.
