Simple. Because photographs are a way to freeze time. A way to capture moments that you can never get back. Your babies grow so quickly. Their toothless grin will soon change, those little curls may be gone after their first hair cut and suddenly that little baby face you rocked to sleep is now a pre teen going through reproductive health class at school. Our kids grow up way too fast and one day I promise you those annual family photos (Yes, I said annual, you should get them done every year!) are going to give you all the feels. They will make you smile. They will make you cry. They will bring back happy memories. They will be shown to your grandchildren one day. They are keepsakes, truly.

My goal as a photographer is to give my clients photographs that capture the emotion and connections between families. Not the ‘Everybody look at the camera and say cheese’ moments. I prefer the candid moments. These are the moments that win my heart over and over again. I want my sessions to be fun and relaxed, no stress allowed!

I love shooting in local grassy fields, parks with trees, creeks and areas that have gorgeous light and that golden hour sun setting in just the right spot! I have my favorite locations I like to shoot at in Holly, Fenton, Hartland, Ann Arbor and surrounding cities. I also do urban style shoots in local downtowns if you prefer that style. Most of my clients come to my locations as I spend hours and time finding the perfect locations with suit my style.

Good news! I absolutely love to help my clients with their wardrobe so I have put together a ‘What to Wear’ guide that I share with my clients once they book their family session. I want to help make your photo session with me relaxed and fun and that means helping you from the time you book with outfit suggestions! I also have a client closet that is available for free to you to use if you wish. Yes, I'm cool like that.

Your cute selves. Honestly, that’s it! Perhaps some wipes if you have little ones and a few little snacks to bribe your toddlers with if necessary – but you don’t need to bring a thing otherwise! I bring blankets and my trusty wooden crate and we will make magic happen together!
